October 11th, 2006 was the day of all days, when Vampires were discovered by humans in New York City. Never again will their simple, humdrum lives be the same, for now they were the hunted - not the hunters.

It was a harsh reality for the human world to learn that the Hollywood Vampire stereotype known by millions was just artistic grace. Vampires could bask in the warm midday sun, breath in the aroma of fresh roasted garlic, and go to Sunday Mass with no side-effects. Nothing like the movies, they were the real deal. But one stereotype remained unchanged, death came to them in the form of a stake through their lifeless hearts. There were other ways to kill a vamp as well, but they were known only by the vampires themselves.

After many years, the humans learned how to adapt to their new lives, avoiding dark corners, staying in large crowds, day and night. The Peaceable Vampires, who tries to hide their existance, now desperately work to maintain a shroud of illusion over the human's eyes. They respect the humans enough to avoid killing them, and to fight constantly with the Chaotic Vampire Clans, and Tribes who quite enjoy causing chaos by enjoying the 'good life' amonst their living meals. Hiding is not an option for them, and the Peaceables were in their way of finding true rapture in a 'vampiric freedom' made through human fear.

Summary of SLD1:

August 11th, 2008 was a day like no other, when Peaceables and Chaotics fought as allies.

The War for Chaos had begun, lead by Lebbeus, a cocky sinister Chaotic Vampire Elder who ruled the darken ones. The war was to help aid his quest to build a demonic kingdom for The Ancients - Lillith and Kalfa, the Alphas - the Adam and Eve of the Vampiric era. But, his plans were foiled by a very odd crew of vampires.

Silas and Laven, two Peaceable Elders, teamed up unexpectantly with three Chaotic Vampires, Kierona, William, and Lee. Their forced togetherness caused them to find out exactly how strange fate could be, for their lives were intertwined with Lebbeus' quest.

The group ended up discovering the truth to an old vampire myth of The Neutrals, Vampires of both sides who pledged to help neither side, only to help maintain a balance amongst them. This group was lead by Maximillian LeVey, the French Chaotic turned Neutral, Kier's close friend of many years.

When it was all said and done, Lebbeus and Max were killed - so they hoped, and The Ancients were captured and in the hands of Kenneth and Brianna, the new leader of the Neutral Covenent, and his Lieutenant.
Even in victory, the uncanny group saddened with the loss of one. Laven, the host of The Ancient Prince, sacrificed himself to alter his dream of fate's plans for the future. Now, the Prince resides in Hazey, Laven's Peaceable friend. Now, Laven's body has been layed to rest, but his soul resides in the youngest member of the group, Lee.

Just when they thought things could return to normal, the new circle of friends have a few lose ends to deal with. The Peaceable Council want answers...Who slayen Laven? And why were Peaceables consorting with the enemy? Plus the revealing of The Neutral Covenent, what will that intel for them? Their rage over the past events are targeted towards Silas, the Peaceable trator.

The death of Lebbeus did not slow down the Chaotics clans, now under the leadership of Cabot, a devious telepath, Leb's Second in Command. The war is not over yet, just on hold for 10 years. OH, and then, there's a little situation about....a 'baby'?

There's your very unfulfilling summary of the first run of this RP. It is very much a must for your to read the first series, on your own time. It will help you understand the vet characters, the situation at hand - cause I didn't put 'everything' in the summary, as well as how we are running the storyline.

There are three/four GM's of this Rp, the originals. Risaleel, Phi Chisym, Superninja, Ottertraveler, and Kris (DOA, but original GM - respect the goddess). Bring questions to one of us, and respect our gameplay. We have the rights to run your charrie, if so need be. Changes in the story must be PMed to one of us before entering. We love new ideas, but keep them in the frame of the original story. Ideas will be worked in smoothly to maintain the quality of the RP.

It is at least a Literate RP, so all rules apply. If there is a problem, you will become a feast for a Chaotic. If you have to leave for a long while, please PM me. But please, if you're serious about staying in a long running RP, then post.

Other Details: (just in case you didn't understand.)
1) Vampires are NOT harmed by the sun.
2) Vampires do NOT need to drink blood everyday to survive. They can last weeks, even months without feeding.
3) They all must have crimson eyes. The rest of their description is your choice.
4) No human characters unless they are going to be turned in the first few postings. Full Vampiric RP!
5) If you were turned into a Vampire at an age younger than 18, then your body will continue to mature until you turn 18. So everyone won't look too young. There are a few who do not mature, they continue to look the age they turned.
6) Vampires can bleed, cry tears, sweat, etc. Most people would say otherwise, but we had altered a few things. They are not all dried up as most would thing, unless they are Ancients. (Modern Day Vampires do not carry the same ole' school characteristics as the Ancients do, and a few Elders. Old School is just like the movie Vampires.)

7) The usual rules apply:
No god-moding
No power playing
No pointed ears or wands, this isn’t HP or LOTR
No bumping
Use the OOC/BIC or the (()) to talk out of character
NO ONE LINERS (It’s a pet peeve) You must have at least two decent paragraphs before you send. Use your Preview button to double check yourself before sending.

Personality: wise...?
Special Features/Abilities: Hazeys special vampire gift is that he could sense where people are better than most. He could run though a room filled with sharp pointy objects, wearing a blindfold, and he would make it through. He had always done the 'pretend to walk away, then *u** a dagger out behind him' trick, and most of the time it worked.

History/Family Life: grew up a normal life, until a chaotic vampire tried to eat him. Hazey ran away, straigh into the arms of a strange, tall, pale man. this man pushed Hazey behind him, then stopped the attacking vampire with a "don't, my friend. please don't." The tall man eventually turned Hazey, and those two became best friends. they wernt on many journeys, and discovered many things. alot of there journeys ended in a fight against the chaotic vampire. soon, Hazey had met alot of people involed in the tall mans world. the talls mans former best friend, the now enemy vampire Lebbues. he was the one who had tried to eat him.
Hazey then met another Peaceable, Silas. Silas was younger than him, but went on alot of the journeys with Hazey and the tall man, who if you hadn't guessed, was Laven.

Description: avi, with blonde hair.
Personality: wild, rebelious, but is starting to settle into life under his new guidence.
Special Features/Abilities: his agility. can do those yoda type flips and stuff.

History/Family Life: grew up normally in New York, but when he came home late from a friends place, he was attacked. He was turned, and left to eat. he put fear into the hearts of humans, as he didnt hide his killings or didnt bother if their were witnesses. Eventually, he was approached by Hazey and offered guidance, and a new, better life. He accepted the offer.

Any weapons: a simple sword, and a long peice of cloth.

Other: was the young vampire who Laven and Silas set out to kill. Hazey finished Lavens work, but in a different way.

Age: 74
Gender: Female
Age turned:* 18 (born 1944, chnaged in 1962.)

Description: 5'7", 120lbs, light pale mulatto skin, red eyes hidden under deep translucent shades, Arburn hair to mid back with unruling bangles before her face, sometimes worn down sleak or in dreads. Very athletic, diciplined form full of the grace of a ballerina.

Usual attire would be leather and lace, being on her Harley most of the time, she prefers to maintain leather chaps over a very figured black pair of jeans. Babydoll tees sporting her mind-set for the day, with a short leather jacket. Never wears a helmet, unless traveling long distances. When she needs to be more of a lady, she will dress the part and show more skin, but there is usually a price for such sites.

Personality: Is a jack of all trades, and a master in them as well, loves to party and has a very morbid sense of humor. Tends to be pessimisive and carries a very low self esteem due to her upbringing. Struggles to become more than just another pretty face.

Special Features: Once carried the souls of her sire's kills, all 634 of them, plus ones she collected herself. She has learned over time how to use these souls for her own gain. There are two who are loyal to her (Petro Iwas - an evil Vodoo spirit). Ogoun has left her recently, but Agwe is still present in her - unknowingly. She will continue to maintain other souls from overtaking Kier's body and mind. Her skills in the old world Vodoo magic is what kept her alive.

History/Family Life: Kier was a typical teenage . She was born in Haiti, but due to political turmoil, her family moved to the US when she was just two months old. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois, exceeding in every subject, sport, craft, etc. anything she layed her hands on.
She became tops in her class, and dated the captain of the soccer team. Her parents were very well to do in their careers, allowing Kier to lived every girl's dream. Yet, inspite of how good she was, her parents never taken a moment to show love and appreciation. She thought she was worthless to them, just another tax deduction. So, she rebelled, hippy all the way.

The bottom dropped in her reality one night, after her and her boyfriend left an outdoor party at a friends house. They were in a very poshed secured wooded residence, with a nice park and pool area. They thought it would be nice to use the private zacuzzi for a bit. It was their last night together, her boyfriend was headed off to college after graduation, she had to wait until her life was determined by her parents on which college she should attend. She planned to follow him where ever he went, and never to speak to her parents again.

The man who visited them, Lebbeus, had every intention of killing them both, but when he captured Kier's eyes he felt that she would be more useful to him alive. He forced Kier to watch him her boyfriend being tortured to death . Then, after bitting Kier and complete her transformation, he forced her to feeding on her boyfriend's lifeless body.

Kier became Lebbeus' right hand gal, his vicious hinchwoman, and tortured lover. He had turned her into a cold-hearted being, spilling blood for him alone, becoming a living vessel for the many Elder souls he collected for The Ancients. She was to become Queen Lillith's new body, and rule the New Order of Chaotics in a kingdom devoted to them. But, there was one thing the Ancients did not foreseen developing, love and friendship. Through William, her true love, and her new friends, they had the power to stop the Ancients and distroy Lebbeus.

((Yay, you posted it! Great job, I don't see any problems. Hmm, I'm deciding whether or not to make temps from some charries that will be introduced in my story and may or may not make an entrance in the RP... well, I don't have them now so I won't at the moment, but I might add them later.

(I changed his history a bit, but it's mostly just in accordance to the RP)
Chaotic/Peaceable Vampire:* Chaotic Cool

Name: William Delvan (he goes by William or Will)
Age: 223 (born in 1794)
Gender: Male
Age Turned: 19

Description: William stands at about six feet tall with an athletic build and perfectly proportioned. His muscled are defined, but not defining, and he shows them off by wearing a tight black shirt and jeans. His shoes are dark and durable, and he often adds a leather jacket to his outfit as he thinks it looks good with his motorcycle. His hair, cut short so that it would fall just above his eyes if it weren't spiked at the front, is an odd color, a deep auburn, almost burgundy. His face is somewhere between cute and handsome; the best way to describe would be good looks. His nose and chin have sharp, elegant angles, his lips are thin, and his cheeks show just a hint of roundness. He sometimes wears dark sunglasses to cover the crimson of his eyes, but they have such a twinkle to them that it suits his hunting style better not to.

Personality: It changes depending on who he's around and what he needs to accomplish. He tends to be fun-loving and outgoing, though also far more observant than one would expect. His humor also depends on circumstance, but it's generally dry and sarcastic.

Special Features: As a human, he was amazingly charming and chasismatic. Now, it's been multiplied to the point where he can persuade people to do just about anything he puts their mind to. Of course, it works better on some people than others, but even if the supernatural part doesn't factor in, he still has his pre-vampire charisma.

History/Family Life: William was born in a small village in the English country side. He had lived a good life there, but he had been planning on going to London and possibly looking into politics. The night of his 19th birthday, just a week before he was moving out, a vampire, Lebbeus, raided his village. He didn't kill everyone, but those he didn't kill, he turned.

After several agonizing days, William found himself part of a relatively large coven of vampires. The rest of the surviving villagers were under Lebbeus' command. Because of his incredible persuasive abilities, or at least that was what William thought at the time (he was actually going to be the vessel for Kalfa. yeah, read the first rp), but he left after only about a year.

No longer carring for politics, he began to travel the world. He stayed in Italy for a while, where he fell in love with another Chaotic (whose name I haven't decided yet Razz

), but that didn't turn out well and it wasn't long before he made his way to the United States, where he has since taken up residence. Sometime in the 1940's, he fell in love again, this time with a human. That worked out about as well as his first love.

In August of 2008, he met and fell in love with Kier. For once, love was returned to him. Of course, Maximillian /aslo/ being in love with Kier made things a little difficult, but now that he is, hopefully, dead and out of the way, they can get on with their lives and relationship. They plan on living together in Italy (William thinks there's really nothing quite so delicious as an Italian), at least for a while, but they have a few things to take care of first.

Weapons: An obsidion dagger, but he prefers not to fight and will usually use teeth and claws before pulling out the dagger

Name: Gustav Rellax
Age: 25
Gender: male
Age turned:* 18
Description: Gustav stands 6'0ft tall his short silver hair hangs over the crimson jewels that are his eyes. A large scar covers Gustav's face ranging from the top of his right brow to the bottom of his left cheek. Gustav wears a Sephiroth like trench coat with a black metallica shirt under it, the shirt's right sleeve is ripped off and the are a few small tares on the back, Gustav's blue jean pants are worn and the bottom of the pants are stained with blood, his black belt has a large buckle that is in the form of a gold skull with his name embroded in japanese, Gustav's foot wear is black boots. Gustav carries with him a Katanna on his belt and a white V electric guitar on his back

Personality: Gustav is a cruel person who instigates fights between every one including his allies since bloodshed and his music are his only amuesment. Gustav is a gluton when he feeds using his katanna to sluaghter humans and get large amounts of blood instead of just biting them. instant gradification. Other than that the only thing notable about Gustav is that he hides is emotions very well and very often will betray people for his personal gain.

Special Features: Besides his expert swordsmanship Gustav's music tends to lure small groups of humans ( mostly goths and emos ) to him for slaughtering while it is rarely successful the music relaxes him and and most others that can hear it.

Any weapons: Katanna

History/Family Life: At the age of 10 Gustav was turned, that was also when he began despise humans for the scum that they were. Gustav was betrayed by everyone he had ever loved. Gustav was staying at a small safe house when his mother, a tall woman, and many of the other refugees had led him to his turning, and what they thought was their ticket to saftey as their decoy. His mother and some safehouse guards had sent him and his five other siblings along with some elderly and injured into a dark room that had been previously used for deliveries. As soon as they all entered the room the door to the safehouse was quickly sealed shut and the light turned on. In the corner of the garage stood six vampires, four male two female, stood ready for their meal.
The vampires attacked the injured and elderly first, the hoarse screams of the victims ecoed through out the room as Gustav and his older brother hid in a small gap between a large machine and the wall. After what seemed like hours the screaming ended and it seemed to be safe to come out of hiding. Gustav's older brother peeked out to see if it was safe, he motioned for him to come as he walked into the light. A swift wind slashed down on him and Gustav's brother was dead, his blood spraying all over the wall and all over him, then he blacked out. When he awoke the six vampires surrounded him and explained to him what he now was and what to expect. Gustav stayed with these vampires for many years until he caught them off guard and killed them for what they had done to him and his siblings. To this day Gustav searches for his other three siblings assuming that they are still alive.

wow I feel stupid... I'm the last of the 'vets' to see the page!!! Also is it two years later?? I put my character two years later but ya... a little confusion

Description: about 5'6'' tall and her skin is pale but darker than others. Dark brown hair that flows down a little past her shoulders. Hides her eyes with sunglasses. Her hair is usually pulled into a high ponytail or a bun. Very athletic and a quick runner. She has 'sufer-girl' style; so her usual clothes would be burmuda shorts, a dark colored tank top, and flip flops or tennis shoes. usually tennis shoes.

Personality: When shes around people she knows she is the life of the party; telling jokes and dancing and she's very sarcastic. But when she doesn't know the person well she keeps to herself for the most part and doesn't open up easily to people; humans or vampires. She is still trying to ajust to her new life-style with the other vampires. Three years didn't improve or change her veiws much...

Special Features:* Her agility. She can walk completely silent so nobody can hear her even those with special hearing would have a hard time hearing.

History/Family Life: Lee was living the life she'd always read about in books. Her parents both were making amazing money and she was the MVP and Captin of the soccer and basketball team. She was getting straight A's in school. She dated the football captin, soccer captin, and the basketball captin. Only her family was never around much. Parents always taking trips, brother at college and sister disappeared years ago when Lee was only 12. She finally relized she was lonely.

She had nobody to spend time with but her old great aunt geini. Way too old to talk to anyone and too boring when she talked. Lee turned to a man she met in the park one evening. He was sweet and kind and not self-centered like her boyfriend. Lee soon broke up with him and returned to the man from the park. One night she was walking with him and sudenly felt two sharp fangs fell into her neck. She was left there only to wake up fully transformed a few days later. She wasn't going to stop until the man who did this was dead. She returned home to find her whole family dead.

Peaceable, Chaotic. or Neutral - Neatreaul, he'll help either side.
Description - Short, spiky, dirty blonde hair. 6', crimson eyes, pale skin, athletic build. He wears a desert camo cloak, a black hoodie, and black jogging pants.
Personality - Quiet, doesn't really care about the fight and is always hungry so has to fight the urge to feed continusaly. He will only attack on the hour of dusk, he lives throughout the day as if he were still human.
Special Features/Abilities - Hasn't an inate ability to hit a target from almost any distance, he can also squeeze into tight places and stay in that position for hours.

History/Family life- He was born in MO, and spent most of his life there. When he was turned into a vampire, he decided to live with it and go on with his life.

He spent the rest of his time training with his accuracy and fitting into almost anything. When he finally heard of the war, he decided to help ether side he wished.
Any weapons- A long bow, a full quiver of black headed arrows and two short curved blades.

(yeah, we might.ve forgotten to say that, but the special abilities aren't things like what sunrain just said. its smaller things, like Hazeys ability, or any of the vets. unless you can hink of a good reason why he can do that, like he has an elder spirit in him, change the power.

Being newbies and all, plus from your temps, it is obvious that you may not be able to handle the type of play we have already established for this RP. It is a advanced RP, very detailed, deep, expressive, and it moves at a moderate pace.

I suggest that you read over the first part of the story, same name, to get an idea of how this RP goes. I would hate to get you started, then you bail out cause it's too much for you. But, if you are placed, this will be a good opportunity to build your skills. But, it is not 'just' my say. Vets Comments?))

(well i improved my skills quite quickly on the first SLD. If they can just start out with good grammer and spelling, and they dont go to wild and out of the story, then it will be good for em. they will quickly improve, and start making longer posts. as long as they dont pull a mav on us, i will be happy)

Well I'm not to sure about you sunrain... pfunk92 maybe... not to be rude but neither of your template truely shock me... pfunk more writing but I see your pretty close to getting it and sunrain you DEFINATLY need some work post your HISTORY it's VERY important in this

so before we start both of you please write your BEST possible opening post for this RP. This MUST be at LEAST two short paragraphs and have good speling and grammar. No 'kinda', 'sorta', 'dunno', and stuff like that UNLESS they are speaking to somebody and that's how your character talks... now good luck. This will most likely show what your skills are and I think this RP is a good opportunity if you don't RP much to boost your skills! but write the opening descbe where you are, what your doing, who your with etc. good luck

This most likely won't be how we open the RP.

this is so I know they are HORRIBLE but if they'd mediocre I think they should be able to join...

(i looked at some of the RPs the've been in. they are both alright. sunrain might be a bit on the short posting side, but i think he is capable of doing more if he could. you guys should take a look in the house series, they are both in there)

Special Features/Abilities -can slightly dull his pain receptors in times of extreme stress.
History-Lived a normal life with his normal family untill at about twelve his
sister got addicted to meth and killed his parents, from then on he moved to various foster homes, most of them with families that beat him or neglected him untill he was put into the care of an orphanage that was heck on earth, he ran away from that and was the beer boy for many street gangs and got beaton regularly for there amusment, untill the gang he worked for got killed in front of his eyes by a rival gang. After that he lived on the streets, stealing and sleeping in boxes until he was 19 when he got bitten bye a vampire. He now hunts down humans for all of the horrors that he got submitted to as a child.

Anyways, when half-sib was born stepmother's family paid her $2 000 to stay away from new family (the whole damn family knew she was a vampire). She took it, left, got a job etc. Was stalked for a bit by another vampire but she solved that problem.
She used to be a rock climber (Mom and DAd taught her) so when bored will climb sky scrapers. One time she miscalculated and her face and hands froze to wall. Not pleasant.

could you just extend your history a bit. maybe say a bit more on who bit you, where you were, etc. just to make it a bit bigger.

((No, Alianne. If you read the first set of the story, you will see that we have already established a style - somewhat - in the writing. We would like to maintain this. We're not saying we're the best writers or such, but we've worked hard to achieve what we have.

Newbies are welcomed, what better way to grow... involve yourself in an advanced adventure. Yet, inspite this, most newbies take kind criticism wrong and the mood of the players weaken.

There are plans - possibly - to make this thing bigger than just a simple RP on a book site. And if the second run on this thing brings serious members who want to build on a future opportunity, then we will welcome them. It's not being rude, just seeking people who want more out of their creative thoughts.

If you are new, but want to participate in something worth wild...and stick to it, then by all means - come. Just understand where we are coming from before you get upset at us. There is more to this venture than you thing...maybe. Only time will tell.
